About
Sarah Karina
I am an Archivist, Documentalist, and Librarian by Trade, with a Background in German Literature and American Studies. Alongside this professional Foundation, I have always been a Writer — and my Work is driven by a lifelong Fascination with History, Technology, and Psychology.
My Research interests range from Realism and Liminality in American literary History, to naval Warfare in the Age of Sail, to the Politics of the early American Republic. This Combination of archival Discipline and literary Inquiry informs my Work on Gouverneur Morris.
In The Gentleman Founder, I approach Morris through close Reading of primary and secondary Sources — his Letters, Speech-Transcripts, and the many Biographies written about him — always with an Eye to historical Context and the interpretive Choices that shape how he is remembered.
This Project is motivated by a professional Habit of Precision and Care: to interrogate Myths, to resist Simplification, and to restore Nuance. I seek to present Morris not as a polished National Icon, but as a Human Being: complex, contradictory, deeply empathetic, and often misrepresented.
The Gentleman Founder aims to be rigorous without being academic in Tone — offering reflective Essays for Readers interested in Ideas, Personalities, and Debates that not only shaped the United States’ History but still resonate today.
